The Final training sessions - 12 day countdown - We have 12 days till the Great Wall of China Marathon

24 weeks ago this journey started, what challenge could I set myself so much so it scared me and was totally out with my comfort zone but had to challenge me beyond words can describe when I thought about it! ?

My first step was meeting someone who had the strategy to get me to this starting line, Simon Lin a guy who has done Paris marathon, and city to summit endurance event.

Big Thanks to Simon Lin personal trainer even though away on annual leave still takes time to send me final countdown training, People always ask me, what is last two weeks like, for preparation. Below is schedule for countdown, this is what I will follow through to race day.

10 mile run
15 mins versa climber

Tuesday 5th

10km run (treadmill or outside @ 60% your max effort, hard enough so you can just talk)

RACE DAY



If I was to describe how I feel these days, is energetic, but at times very tired. On a serious note I need to remember I have never ran a marathon, and this is the 3rd hardest in the world, for me its about strategy right for the day of event. from what is nutrition from now till race day.  I have to use all I have developed myself with the mind. tomorrow is 12 days to go, I can only take one day at a time now but that's been strategy since the journey began 24 weeks ago....
