Since Running the Great wall of china- Now for the 5 year plan - Over 20 of the toughest marathons around the world before I am "50"

In November 2015 I had never ran before, One day I got off a chair and ran which lasted 15 minutes to end of streetlamp post and back to my house, My SON Shouted" Dad thought you were going for a run" My Response was " I did but please do not MEASURE  me on today champ as that would be a very wrong thing to do, and please refrain from laughing as longer journey is inspiring believe me please" Dad

Ryan shouts down the stairs ... " Who knows about the long term visions Dad..... My Response... " Ryan they are all in my head as a seed but they are nourishing and blossoming wild, and as long as we love each other let me tell you something they will grow wild.... I shouted up to Ryan, " I love you son but time for Dad to go to work" and I did.....

In Last 8 weeks with inspiration and support I decided I wanted to reach a milestone before my 50th birthday, below is what I am setting as my challenges over the next 5 years. 2016 events already booked and ready to go....

During this journey I will be coaching, consulting and growing my own business. ..I will also have a group of charities I will support along the way with innovative partnerships. All will become clearer whats in my mind.. but for now below is links, descriptions and photos to journey ahead....

My life has been about inspiring people, this is about taking it to another level...

Special mention to Lesley Kidd , Ryan Kidd who support me in everything I do, A mention to 3 special people, Doug White, Dave Major, and Linda Major who had real impact on my life during the Great wall of china marathon trip, you got me to search my soul, this is what I came up with...  Stevie Kidd

The canyons around Moab are unlike anywhere in the world, and this course conquers some of the most spectacular! You will travel through narrow canyons with spectacular vertical walls on both sides and along the rim-tops of deep canyons with spectacular vistas every direction. The terrain changes frequently to keep the miles clicking and includes narrow single-track, rugged jeep trails, sandy washes, ‘Moab-style slickrock’, a short section of dirt road, a few sections of no-track, a very old mining trail and a couple sections of fixed line traverse. Views will take your breath away, and include the spectacular red rocks of “Behind the Rocks Wilderness” and “Amasa Back” area, also view the sheer vertical walls of Pritchett, Hunter and Kane Creek Canyons and views into Canyonlands National Park. The elevation gain and loss is about 3500 ft. There are two major climbs, one at the beginning which is nice and gradual, and one just after the ½ way point which is shorter and steeper. There are several other short climbs and descents throughout the course. The top runners will run all but the fixed rope section and are expected to finish in less than 4 hours. Average runners will do a combo of running with a bit of walking and are expected to finish in the 5 to 6 hr range. If you want to feel ecstatic and in awe after a race, then this one is for you!

Understanding your Senses - My Strategy is to magnify my clients senses

The Senses - Magnify your senses, your world looks different...

The sensory map, your first access to the outside world

Every second you are absorbing millions of bits of data through your five senses which is transformed to an internal sensory-based map that somehow reflects the outside world. Sensory filters (neurological processes) convert the information from the outside world to our sensory representation. The sensory map is what we see, hear, and feel, taste and smell before you have added any meaning or language.

Making sense of the world through language

As you look around the room you are in right now, make a mental note of what you are seeing and hearing. To do this you apply the ‘filter’ of language to your sensory map. Language is a part of a second set of filters that enable you to create meaning of the sensory experience. To label an object you unconsciously compare data in your sensory map with some ‘internal representation’ of that object.

For example, to label an object a chair, you will have an internal visual representations in your mind for chairs. In addition you will have internal representations for different categories of chairs e.g. arm chairs, office chairs, stools, dining chairs etc. You will also have a kinesthetic (tactile) internal representation for what it feels like to sit in different types of chair. For sound, you have internal auditory representations to recognise what you are hearing. The same is true for olfactory and gustatory representations (tastes and smells). We build these internal representations based on our past experiences. To make sense of the world we categorise and label it e.g. “That armchair looks very comfortable to sit in” . Note, that most speakers of English would loosely agree on what an armchair is. However, what ‘looks comfortable’ is a statement based on personal criteria for comfort based on past experience. The person has a visual representation they link to their own construct for feeling comfortable (kinesthetic

When I work with people or business I develop the leaders to understand own Neurology but also awareness on sensory representation. After this stage we focus on understanding others from people you engage with in a daily basis within your working enviroment through to external customers. Very quickly your map changes rapidly in how you see the world but also how you see yourself.
