Coaching is unlocking a persons potential... A day with Stevie Kidd and his client...


My life philosophy and one I have incorporated into my sons life over many years now, I encourage coaches into our lives. 

I am a qualified life coach and NLP trainer under Dr Bandler NLP Society, developing myself over last 20 years.


I am also a very experienced multi business owner as for over the last 30 years, a very powerful combination, however becomes even more powerful when I receive regular coaching as well. So for many years now I have had fitness, Business and Life coaches all running side by side over the years. I take my time in choosing my coaches but they must be very aware of goals we want to achieve in our lives..

My son Ryan has had coaches in his life for many years also, but within Ryan's life I use a coach and mentors as terminology. 

My coaching methods are simple - acceleration to destination at a pace of business or clients journey. Below is example of a coaching session from today walking a client through many areas across life and business. 

Why not walk yourself through this journey and see what happens at the end?

Ask your self, was this useful, were doors opened,, Did I find any answers, do I feel a shift, for me movement within is all within the questions you ask initially then through submodalities you create within your mind..

So what is below is a journey between myself and a senior leader within a company.

VISION and PURPOSE 
Questions used to clarify vision, objectives and purpose Questions used when clients descend into the "shoulds" and "oughts" and "gottas" of life.

What's missing from your life?
What do YOU really want?
What is most important to you?
What is the biggest change you'd like to make in your business and life, assuming you had enough support to do it?
Where do you want to be in 5 or 10 years from now?
To my perfectionist client I ask "When is good, good enough?
Who do you want to "be"?
What were you put on this earth to do?













GOALS /OBJECTIVES FOR COACHING SESSION
Useful questions at the beginning of a session to ascertain client’s outcome 


What could we work on that would make the biggest difference to you?
What is the biggest challenge in your life or business today?



CLARIFYING NEEDS
Questions used to help clients clarify needs 

What is "good enough" for right now?
What needs to become clear for you?"





LISTENING / FOCUS
Questions used to support clients in listening to themselves Questions that help clients stay focus and search deep inside

What is the story you are telling yourself daily?
Does your internal story get you what you want?
If you were providing yourself advice - what would you say to yourself right now.
What would your role model be saying to you in this situation? ( was that a different message to you)?



OPTIONS/ CHOICES
Questions used to help clients explore options

What are your options?
Which option best fits your goals?




ACTION/ ACCOUNTABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY
Questions used to support clients in moving into action, be accountable and responsible Questions that project clients into the future Questions that tag into the emotional side of action

How would improving yourself make you feel?
Who may be available to help/support you in this?
What can you do better?
Imagine you wake up one morning and whatever challenge you had previously was miraculously overcome while you were sleeping. What is the first thing you notice that confirms something actually happened?
If nothing changes, what will that cost you?
Is there something you have always wanted to do but never tried? possibly never even told anyone? Are you moving forward in the right gear?? Is it too high/low?? How can you change gear??
What is the smallest possible step you could immediately take, in the right direction?"
How willing are you to do whatever it takes to discover the highest and best of who you are?
What could you be losing, if you do nothing?




 LIMITING BELIEFS/NEW THINKING/NEW PERSPECTIVE
Questions used to open clients to new possibilities or perspectives Questions that expose self limiting beliefs and open a path to a new thinking 

What assumptions are you making in your life today?
What are the underlying assumptions that you are making about yourself?
Are those assumptions supporting you or bringing you down?

 ‘AWARENESS OF OBSTACLES’
Questions used to help client get an awareness of obstacles to reach target Questions to help client see where barriers may be and create the possibility of new solutions

What might be preventing you from doing X?"
Imagine that money, time and skill were not an issue. Is there anything that would _stop_ you then? Specifically, what is/are the biggest challenge(s) you face?
What is the hesitation about getting started now?
What is standing in your way ? What's the first step you can take ? When will you start?
'What could hold you back in X situation ?'
"So what's getting in the way of you doing this right now?"



‘FACING FEARS’
Questions used to help client express, face and minimize their fears

And what would happen - just imagine the worst ?
What is the worst case scenario if you would actually go forth with 'it'?
What is the senior leadership team saying behind closed doors about you?
If your fear was really useful for you to develop your awareness of areas where you need to be particularly attentive, just to stay safe, how can you use it with high precision?
What would you do if you weren't afraid?
What is the worst that can happen to you?
What is the worst thing that could happen? Is that a risk you could live with?
What are you afraid would happen?
How would you approach this situation if you weren't afraid of failing?
What would be the best way to tackle that fear?
Where do you think you would be, right now, if it were not for your fear of taking a chance?
Where would you like to be, right now, in your career, your life, etc.? whichever is appropriate for the situation...

what happened to you, if you give yourself permission, drop the fear and do it anyway you will move forward looking back at an old you, empowering and motivating yourself to continually move forward. I in vest in me because the closest around me benefit and do I.. I watch so many people own businesses or have jobs but let the these areas define who you are, since early 90s I have always wanted more, so development and coaches have been huge for me personally in my journey as goal has always been to be achieve the most fulfilled life I can have... stevie kidd
